Over and over again, the journalists behind our nonprofit have helped bring change to a state that seemed the least likely to change. We helped save the lives of hundreds of Mississippians who were about to lose their HIV/AIDS drugs. We helped expose problems at the state Department of Health that resulted in reform. We helped bring convictions in some of the nation's most notorious killings. We inspired a Justice Department investigation this year into Mississippi's prisons.

And we're just getting started.
