MCIR hosts journalists who kick ass

In keeping with its tradition of hard-hitting reporting that shines a light on truth, MCIR is sponsoring a Zoom call July 15 with a number of journalists who have exposed corruption and intrigue and held government officials accountable.

Participants are Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker, the Pulitzer-Prize winning team from the Philadelphia Inquirer who exposed corrupt cops; Emmy-winning Rhonda Schwartz, executive investigative producer for Brian Ross Investigates on the Law and Crime Network; Pulitzer Prize finalist and soon-to-be-author Margaret Coker, whose investigative work revealed secret communications between Al Qaeda and what became ISIS; longtime investigative reporter Pat Beall who exposed what was happening in Florida prisons; author Alyssa Katz, deputy editor of THE CITY, a news nonprofit filling the gaps for investigative reporting in New York City; author Patsy Sims, who has interviewed violent Klansmen; and Jami Floyd, legal editor from NYC Public Radio.
